It is globally recognized and in Cyprus is also recognized by universities and colleges, the Cyprus government and employers. It is very important especially for those seeking international education or/and professional recognition.

In Cyprus, IELTS is owned, developed and delivered through the partnership of the British Council which base in Nicosia. The main key aspects of IELTS are its international recognition, exams are available every two weeks, its results are issued 13 calendar days after the test and its availability in more than 100 countries.

Application could be achieved through British Council by several ways:

For the time being, the cost for registering for the test is €170.00.

Candidates can have their results 13 days after the test day. Test Report Forms (TRF) are sent to all candidates post address and also to universities and colleges for those who have applied to get a place.

In addition, candidates can reach their results online from the site of British Council. For this option needed candidates’ name, ID or passport number, their date of birth and also the session date.

The final score is the average between the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with the maximum score to be 9.0.
