» More and more Students Learning Spanish

It seems in recent years a diverse preference of Cypriot pupils B’ Lyceum regarding the choice of learning foreign languages, according to today's publication of Phileleftheros newspaper. The Spanish are gaining ground against the English, which remaining as the most popular language. However French held the second preferred language and over the years has fallen to fourth place behind the Italian and Spanish. Notable is the increasing of demand of the Turkish language, which is nearly 8% compared to 1% in 2003. All students of B and C class of High School are forced to choose two foreign languages from all seven, according to the regulations of their school program. The following table illustrates the choices of students.
